Notoriously unpredictable, the river can be an easily-forded stream to a rushing torrent of irresistible force, and everything in between. These changes can occur suddenly and are nearly impossible to forecast.
Despite its fickle nature, the river is an excellent resource. It provides cool, pure water and is home to several varieties of edible fish. It is also helpful for transporting goods downstream, though riverboats and their crews need be prepared for the inevitable turn of the river’s disposition. Very few ever attempt the voyage upstream, as the chaotic current makes timely deliveries unreliable at best.
